Travel Guide

Costa Rica

Costa Rica is a small Central American country known for its rich biodiversity, stunning natural landscapes, and commitment to environmental sustainability. Bordered by Nicaragua to the north and Panama to the south, it has coastlines on both the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. Its capital is San José. Despite its size, Costa Rica is home to about 5% of the world's biodiversity, protected by a robust network of national parks and reserves. The country abolished its military in 1948 and has since prioritized education, healthcare, and environmental conservation. It's a popular eco-tourism destination, famed for its rainforests, volcanoes, beaches, and the philosophy of "Pura Vida" – a laid-back, optimistic approach to life.
